Your necklace will use the selected style, but every name creates a slightly different silhouette. Letter shapes, connections, spacing, width, and attachment-loop placement naturally change with the letters in your name.

It can. A nameplate adds width and structure at the center, so it may drape differently from a plain chain of the same listed length.

Absolutely. Leave about two inches between necklaces so each piece has its own space. A petite initial or simple chain at 16 inches pairs beautifully with a nameplate at 18 or 20 inches.

Most Vaire Doré nameplates are crafted with durable stainless steel and finished in 18k gold or white-gold plating.

Our stainless steel styles are designed to be water-resistant, but plated jewelry is not permanently waterproof or care-proof. Remove it before showering, swimming, exercising, sleeping, or using beauty products and household chemicals.

Stainless steel is highly resistant to tarnish and green discoloration.

Stainless steel is well tolerated by many people, but sensitivities vary. Review the exact materials on the product page and discontinue wear if irritation occurs.

Every custom nameplate is made to order. Please allow up to four weeks for production and shipping unless a different timeframe appears on the product page. Weekends, holidays, address issues, and carrier delays may affect timing.

Ordering for a special event? Please order early. A requested date is not guaranteed unless an expedited option is specifically offered and confirmed.

Tracking is sent to the email address or phone number used at checkout once your order ships. It can take a short time for the carrier to scan the package and show movement.

Rush service is available only when listed as an option or confirmed before purchase. Leaving a requested date in the order notes does not automatically expedite production or guarantee delivery.

Contact us as soon as possible with your order number. Changes cannot be guaranteed after a personalized piece enters production or the order is prepared for shipment.

Once production starts, a custom order cannot be canceled. If you contact us immediately after ordering, we can check its status, but cancellation is not guaranteed.

Personalized jewelry is final sale because it is created using your chosen name and specifications. It cannot be returned or exchanged when the finished piece matches the submitted order. Please review our current return policy.

If the piece matches the personalization entered with your order, it is not considered a production error. Contact us immediately; if production has not begun, we may be able to update it, but changes are not guaranteed.

Contact us promptly with your order number, a photo of the full item, and close-up photos showing the issue. Keep the original packaging while your request is reviewed.

Fasten the clasp and lay the necklace flat in its own soft pouch or jewelry compartment. Keep it away from humidity, direct sunlight, and pieces that may scratch or tangle with it.

We recommend removing it before bed. Sleeping in a necklace can put tension on the chain, bend delicate script lettering, and cause tangling.
